Maintenance Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in building maintenance processes and asset management systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective upkeep of school facilities across the state. Key responsibilities include developing and managing maintenance plans that ensure compliance, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage maintenance plans that guarantee adherence to regulations, safeguard personnel and assets, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Analyze and interpret data to inform short-term and long-term maintenance strategies.
  • Collaborate with school staff and stakeholders, providing clear guidance and practical advice.
  • Identify and address inefficiencies in processes, implementing continuous improvements.
  • Undertake regular travel, including week-on/week-off arrangements, with a base in Brisbane.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong background in building maintenance processes and asset management systems.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and related business systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and apply logical reasoning to balance competing priorities.
  • Valid Blue Card and ability to obtain a criminal history check (mandatory).
  • Previous experience in school or building maintenance highly regarded.
