Job Description

As a Senior Markets Commentator, you will be responsible for creating engaging content that informs and educates investors about the markets. This role involves being a leading voice on how to engage Australians in the world of investing.

The successful candidate will contribute to setting the editorial agenda and manage the delivery of written and audio-visual content that meets this agenda. This includes crafting insightful and engaging content that resonates with both newcomers and seasoned investors alike.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilise your deep understanding of financial markets and investing to create content that meets our audience's needs.
  • Be the markets specialist internally, supporting the wider teams with insights and knowledge that produce better outcomes for stakeholders.
  • Deliver high-quality content across various channels, including social media, in-app/web video, and blogs.
  • Mentor and support other writers and content creators, reviewing and editing their work while helping them grow professionally.
  • Own the publishing process for key newsletters and blogs, collaborating with other teams to remix content for other channels.
  • Support the Growth function by writing and reviewing SEO and Lifecycle content.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Markets Storytelling: You're skilled in breaking down markets and investing news into relatable stories, linking them to wider culture.

Delivery and Distribution: Highly organised, able to mentor other content creators, and ensure timely and on-deadline delivery of work.

Data interpretation: Ability to interpret and effectively communicate data, charts, graphs, and statistical information to support market insights and analysis.

Collaboration: Experience working within a bigger team to produce exhilarating storytelling, working with different disciplines towards shared goals.
