Roving Chef Manager Role

\

This role involves providing leadership coverage when our Chef Managers and Head Chefs are on leave to ensure our residents enjoy an exceptional hospitality experience.

\Key Responsibilities\
  • Maintain and oversee a high-quality food service, with high levels of food presentation, which consistently meets expectations of residents and their visitors
  • Lead day-to-day management of all kitchen operations
  • Maintain ordering systems and supervise ordering for all sections in the main kitchen including textured modified meals and special diet sections
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of employees regarding all aspects of food operation, cook-fresh and cook-chill ensuring the high quality and standard of food being prepared and served
  • Responsible for Food Safety Plan (HACCP) in accordance with the NSW Food Authority requirements
  • Ensure the Food Audits (internal and external) and Inspections maintain business accreditation requirements
\About You\
  • Certification 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery plus Food Safety Certification
  • In-depth knowledge of FSANZ or Vulnerable Persons Act
  • Current knowledge of Food Handling Legislative including HACCP requirements and knowledge of modified diets
  • Experience in leading and managing person-centred catering operations
  • Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and ability to build meaningful relationships - experience in Aged Care Residential settings an advantage
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
