We require an Occupational Therapist with a strong understanding of the health, aged, and disability sectors, with experience in telehealth settings. You will possess excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritise and manage a varied clinical caseload.

Job Description

This role involves providing occupational therapy services via telehealth to individuals with a range of needs. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessments, programs, and reporting, working closely with clients and their families to empower them to make positive choices related to community support and independence.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the health, aged, and disability sectors, with experience in telehealth settings. You will possess excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritise and manage a varied clinical caseload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality specialist care to clients to optimise and improve their health and functional outcomes
  • Effectively manage a designated caseload
  • Maintain client files, inclusive of timely notes
  • Liaise and build rapport with clients, their families, and other members of their support network
  • Provide a range of Telehealth OT assessments and interventions to assist clients to maximise their independence and wellbeing
  • Evaluate OT intervention programs and modify plans as required to facilitate the achievement of goals
  • Initiate funding requests for ongoing OT intervention and follow-up approvals

About You

  • Undergraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • At least 5 years post-qualification experience
  • Experience with and strong understanding of the health, aged, and disability sectors, preferably within a telehealth setting
  • Exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a varied clinical caseload
  • Highly organised and efficient
  • Refined report writing skills
