Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Veolia, a leading provider of environmental solutions. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a variety of heavy industrial and commercial waste vehicles, plant, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain plant, equipment, and fleet vehicles in a timely manner
  • Complete scheduled daily work tasks as directed by the Workshop Supervisor/Leading Hand in an efficient and timely manner
  • Complete work orders, purchase orders, and part requisitions daily and in full
  • Record, monitor stock, and part levels and advise any discrepancies

Requirements

  • Australian recognized Diesel/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic's trade certificate
  • Proven mechanical knowledge/experience within the automotive repair industry
  • Forklift ticket is desirable
  • Open to recent graduates, Diesel Fitters, or Light Vehicle Mechanics looking to upskill or gain experience within the waste industry
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and medical check relevant to the role
