We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Northeast Auto Group. As a key member of our engineering and manufacturing division, you will be responsible for analyzing and diagnosing mechanical problems, repairing and servicing trucks and heavy machinery, and planning jobs and ordering required parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and diagnosing mechanical problems to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
  • Repairing and servicing trucks and heavy machinery in line with job cards and industry standards
  • Planning jobs and ordering required parts to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
  • Completing all paperwork regarding work performed, including maintenance records and quality control reports
  • Mentoring apprentices and assisting with their development to ensure a high level of technical expertise
  • Maintaining a commitment to safety in the workplace, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a trade qualification in heavy diesel/motor mechanics, with extensive industry experience and a proven ability in technical diagnosis and repair of a range of machinery and heavy vehicles. You will also need to be able to identify specific parts or components and have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and principles.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in heavy diesel/motor mechanics (dual trade advantageous)
  • Extensive industry experience in heavy diesel mechanics
  • Proven ability in technical diagnosis and repair of a range of machinery and heavy vehicles
  • Ability to identify specific parts or components
