Job Opportunity

As a Specialist in Incident Management, you will play a pivotal role in how we respond to and prepare for incidents and emergencies across Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate current incident management processes and introduce improvements to keep us at the forefront of industry practices.
  • Engage with state arrangements and hazard plans, ensuring alignment and innovation in emergency management strategies.
  • Delve into training programs during the quieter months, ensuring our teams are prepared for any scenario.

This is an opportunity to lead from the front, representing us in the Emergency Management community, while building resilience and maturity in our processes. You will need to be adaptable and calm under pressure, thrive in a dynamic environment where flexibility is key, and contribute to shaping how we operate, finding ways to do things differently and better.

Strong experience in and demonstrated advanced knowledge of Incident Management theory, practice, policy, and procedure are required. Along with the ability to advise, guide, and influence decision-making at all levels, as well as engaging with communities, Senior Leaders, and External Stakeholders.

Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of state arrangements for Emergency Management and the AIIMS system.
  • Substantial experience in the management and/or operation of infrastructure, business systems, assets, or processes in a multi-functional large-scale organisation.
  • A flexible approach to travel and the ability to deliver training programs across the state.
  • A valid WA Driver's License is required for the role.
