Procurement Specialist

This procurement role will support Council officers in undertaking procurement activities in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines. You will work within purchasing systems, providing relevant training and support to all Council staff.

1. You will have a primary focus on supporting procurement activities in line with regulations, laws, and procedures.
2. Work collaboratively with stakeholders across different departments to achieve objectives.
3. Promote best practices in contract management and enhance service delivery.
4. Ensure compliance with budgeting requirements, always working within financial constraints.
5. You will possess excellent analytical skills to assess risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Certificate IV in Business Administration or a related field. Alternatively, you can demonstrate three years of experience in a similar procurement role.
• Sound knowledge of procurement policies, tenders, and contracts.
• Able to provide corporate training using purchasing modules.
• Demonstrated Microsoft Office expertise, particularly in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of managing internal and external relationships effectively.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks while maintaining high accuracy levels.
