Credit Collection Specialist

Job Overview:

This is a critical role within any organization, responsible for ensuring timely payments and maintaining strong customer relationships. In this position, you will be working closely with our Sales Teams to resolve queries and clear overdue balances, while also managing credit limits and release orders within Service Level Agreements.

You will be responsible for:

  • Proactively chasing all overdue B2B & B2C debts to ensure invoices due are paid on time, in line with payment terms and credit limits.
  • Managing inbound customer and internal depot calls efficiently.
  • Regularly reviewing stopped orders for release and collaborating with our Sales Teams to clear any overdue balances or queries and to manage credit limits and release orders within SLA.
  • Identifying potential issues and liaising with our Sales Teams to effectively resolve customer queries to maintain good customer service levels.
  • Conducting regular debt ledger reviews, account reconciliations, and managing unallocated cash accurately.
  • Overseeing high-spend fuel card accounts to ensure credit exposure remains within acceptable limits.
  • Maintaining adherence to company policies and procedures, striving for best-in-class credit control practices.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A strong commercial awareness in a competitive industry.
  • An excellent telephone manner with experience in handling high-volume inbound and outbound calls.
  • Effective communication skills when interacting with both B2B and B2C customers.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP experience is desirable.
