Job Title: Food and Beverage Morning Supervisor

The ideal candidate will lead the team at a hotel in the heart of the city, ensuring exceptional guest experiences during morning service periods. This role is responsible for supervising the setup, service, and breakdown of events across multiple function rooms and event spaces.

This supervisor will also lead and mentor the afternoon F&B team, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service. They will welcome guests warmly to our food and beverage outlets and ensure every interaction is memorable.

Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including changes or promotions, they will communicate these to guests and the team. They will oversee the settlement of customer accounts within the POS system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Additionally, this supervisor will prepare basic beverages and supervise barista and bartending activities as required. They will promote the hotel, contributing ideas to enhance service delivery and drive revenue.

Maintaining high standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation is essential for this role. They will also promote and uphold workplace safety by identifying hazards and fostering WHS awareness.

Collaboration with other teams and outlets as needed will be necessary to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification is required.
  • A barista qualification and proven ability to prepare a variety of coffee beverages are necessary.
  • Current working rights in Australia are mandatory.
  • Proven experience in supervising food and beverage operations, particularly in conferencing and events, is essential.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills are required.
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays, is necessary.
