Clinical Director Aeromedical Operations

This is a key leadership position within the Aeromedical & Special Operations service delivery directorate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping the future direction of aeromedical services and driving clinical innovation.
Aeromedical & Special Operations provides specialist coordination, response, treatment, and multi-modal transport for pre-hospital incidents, medical retrievals, long distance medical transports, search and rescues, and major incidents.
- Lead the clinical workforce ensuring safe and evidence-based critical care for prehospital and inter-hospital medical retrieval responses.
- Provide expert clinical advice and leadership in the development of prehospital and retrieval medicine, clinical policy objectives, and care pathways.
- Ensure the medical workforce meets operational demands, is clinically effective, safe, credentialed, and supported.
The successful applicant will have accomplished medical leadership experience managing complex clinical operations in pre-hospital and retrieval medicine and critical care settings. They will also possess:
- Medical qualifications registrable with AHPRA.
- Additional qualifications in Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, or Anaesthesia.
