This role involves supervising inmates in correction facilities, ensuring the safety and security of the environment. You will work within a supportive team and interact with inmates on a daily basis.
About the JobAs a Correctional Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring inmate behaviour, undertaking searches, and communicating effectively with inmates and colleagues. The role requires a high level of fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise inmates in correction facilities
- Ensure the safety and security of the facility
- Monitor inmate behaviour
- Undertake searches
- Communicate effectively with inmates and colleagues
- 12 week paid training course
- Nationally recognised qualification of Certificate III in Correctional Practice
- Career development into specialised roles
- Keep fit with a Fitness Passport

- Additional study leave for further development
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Current driver's license
- Australia or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Willing to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practise
- Meet the medical standards to be a correctional officer and have reasonable level of fitness
- No visible inappropriate or offensive tattoos
