About the Role

ING Australia is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the General Insurance product suite. As a key member of our Wealth Tribe, you will work closely with external business partners and internal stakeholders to deliver best-in-class products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the voice of the customer, driving customer acquisition and retention strategies, and improving the customer experience.
  • Manage the governance of insurance operations, working closely with our general insurance partner to monitor and optimize processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop and execute an integrated marketing plan, focusing on digital channels.
  • Drive the development and implementation of a Joint Business Plan with ING's general insurance partner.
  • Own and approve key insurance-related activities, including process reviews, forms, T&Cs, collateral, product questions, exceptions, and escalations.
  • Report on risk events and mitigate product risks related to the customer, insurance partner, and regulatory obligations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience managing General Insurance products, with a proven track record of understanding, interpreting, and preparing financials for product enhancement and profitability monitoring.
  • Proven experience in managing and governing vendors.
  • A risk management focus and working knowledge of business controls and risk mitigation.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and competitor product offerings.
  • Experience in reviewing and recommending product strategies.
  • Experience in Agile working, engaging with technical squads, and organizing work in sprints.
