Environmental Field Worker Gold Coast

Award-winning AWX Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Environmental Field Worker to join our National Fire Ant Eradication Program in Burleigh Heads. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in eradicating the invasive species and ensuring the health and safety of our community.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct fieldwork across various terrain types, including walking up to 15km per day, to spread bait for invasive species.
- Operate hand spreaders, carrying 1-2 kgs of bait, and turn a crank to distribute bait evenly.
- Participate in vehicle travel (30-60 minutes) from the depot to and from worksites, with driving responsibilities rotating among team members.
- Valid driver's license (Open preferred)
- Able to pass a pre-employment functional assessment and drug & alcohol testing
- Able to complete a police check
- Sound computer skills and literacy
- Customer service background advantageous
- Able to work a 9-day fortnight, Monday to Friday, with every 2nd Monday off
- Hours of work: Start times between 6:30am and 7am, depending on time of year and team allocation, with finish times between 3:30pm and 4pm
