Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced legal professional to join our team as a Presidential Member of the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

About the Role

The Presidential Member will be responsible for hearing and determining matters within the jurisdiction of the ACAT, exercising a range of functions given under Territory laws. The successful candidate will have a strong background in law and a minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal practitioner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hear and determine matters within the jurisdiction of the ACAT
  • Exercise a range of functions given under Territory laws
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the ACAT
Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for this role are set out in the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal (Presidential Appointment Requirements) Determination 2016. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate a strong understanding of the ACAT's jurisdiction and the ability to apply the relevant laws and regulations.
