Electrical Tradesperson Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated electrical tradesperson to join our maintenance team at the Gold Coast. This is a full-time position working various shifts across multiple production facilities.

As part of the maintenance team, industrial electricians play a critical role in supporting the production crew through preventive maintenance and breakdown support. We require someone with previous experience working as an industrial electrician in a high-volume manufacturing facility who holds the relevant trade qualifications and can demonstrate good communication, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure commitment to safety, quality, and the environment by adhering to site requirements and performing regular inspections, servicing, and repairs.
  • Carry out electrical repairs on fixed plant with a focus on planned and predictive/preventative maintenance.
  • Work closely with operations teams during breakdowns, fault-finding, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Respond to callouts and unplanned maintenance in a timely manner, minimizing downtime.
  • Maintain PLCs and circuitry, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Perform major overhauls during plant shutdowns, optimizing equipment performance.
  • Foster continuous improvement ideas to drive efficiency and excellence.
  • Provide direction to contractors and work groups as required, promoting effective collaboration.

Requirements

  • Trade qualified (valid unrestricted electrical license).
  • Demonstrated experience working as an electrician in an industrial environment.
  • High level of fault-finding experience, with proficiency in PLC diagnostics.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and software navigation.
  • Confident, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, able to work autonomously when required.
