Job Title: Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a passionate and strong-willed casual team member to join our community.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be working with clients who require assistance with daily life skills, volunteering, and employment. Your role will also involve accompanying clients at school, engaging in community activities, and promoting their independence.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, outgoing, and able to work effectively in a team environment. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to build rapport with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others, while also developing your skills and knowledge in disability support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompanying clients at school
  • Engaging clients in volunteering or employment opportunities
  • Supporting clients with daily life skills
  • Assisting clients with community access

Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid worker screening check
  • Manual handling certificate (preferred)
  • Working with children check (preferred)
  • National Police Certificate (preferred)
  • Driver's licence (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First aid certification

Work Arrangements:

  • Casual position
  • Varied shifts including afternoons, days, evenings, mornings, public holidays, and weekends

Remuneration:

  • $41.76 - $75.17 per hour

Supplementary Pay:

  • Overtime pay
  • Penalty rates
