Job Title: Residential Construction Operations Lead

We are seeking a results-driven leader to head our High-Performance Construction Teams. As a Residential Construction Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving excellence in project execution, team leadership, quality control, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule Management: Develop, manage, and oversee project schedules, milestones, and timelines.
  • Project Support: Assist Project Managers with procurement, vendor negotiations, and materials delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership to Project Managers, Project Engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Financial Management: Collaborate with finance and PM teams to develop and monitor project budgets.
  • Cost Control: Track project costs, analyze variances, and drive cost-saving measures.
Operational Excellence:
  • Contract Acquisition: Drive Phase 2 contract acquisition to meet annual revenue goals.
  • Process Improvement: Create and manage operational processes for contracts, estimating, budgets, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Innovation: Lead process improvements and operational innovations.
  • Budget Management: Partner with the CFO to manage the annual operating budget.
  • Review and Development: Conduct bi-weekly reviews of time entries, invoices, and expenditures, as well as oversee performance reviews and professional development of team members.
Client Experience:
  • Communication: Maintain transparent communication with clients throughout projects.
  • Project Updates: Deliver regular project updates and address challenges proactively.
  • Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control processes to exceed client expectations.
  • Client Satisfaction: Conduct client walkthroughs, milestone reviews, and post-project follow-ups.
  • Culture Building: Foster a client-centered culture focused on delivering legendary experiences.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Inspections and Compliance: Implement and maintain quality control inspections and compliance with building codes and industry standards.
  • Safety Training: Ensure OSHA compliance, safety training, and environmental regulations are followed on all project sites.
  • Maintenance: Oversee maintenance and readiness of equipment, tools, vehicles, and facilities.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 7-10 years of field experience in residential construction.
  • Leadership: 3-5 years of leadership experience managing teams and operational performance.
  • Success Record: Proven track record in leading successful construction teams.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of project flow from concept to completion.
  • Tech Savviness: Tech-savvy and proficient in Buildertrend, scheduling software, time-tracking tools, and digital workflows.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and decision-making abilities with high accountability.
  • Coaching: Ability to inspire and coach teams while maintaining collaboration and morale.
  • Adaptability: Adaptable, data-driven, and committed to continuous improvement.

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
