Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, including maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of critical systems within our tunnels and pump stations. This will involve performing planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, responding to system alarms and faults, and working collaboratively with Shift Supervisors to resolve issues efficiently.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Performing routine and emergency maintenance on tunnel ventilation, lighting, power, and pumping systems
  • Working with various pump types and control systems, including centrifugal and submersible pumps
  • Responding to system alarms and faults, utilizing monitoring tools and collaborating with Shift Supervisors to achieve quick resolutions
  • Participating in emergency response duties as part of a rota
  • Adapting shift patterns to meet operational needs

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

  • Full electrical qualifications, including a JIB Gold Card, ECS Electrician Card, CSCS, and Health & Safety Card
  • A strong understanding of 3-phase motor supply and control circuits, Variable Speed Drives, and pump control systems
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and work both independently and collaboratively
