Restaurant Operations Director

The Restaurant Operations Director oversees the entire restaurant operations, including financial performance, product production, inventory management, personnel development, sales growth, and marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and train employees on all operational policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
  • Evaluate and discipline employees while maintaining a culture of employee appreciation, encouragement, and teamwork.
  • Comply with all written and oral rules of store operations and procedures, as well as workplace conduct policies.
  • Assist in preparing customer orders of food and drinks, following friendly, sanitary, and quality control procedures.
  • Collect and deposit money into the cash register and maintain accurate records.
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures, including supervisor directions.
  • Properly staff the store based on sales volume or as approved by the supervisor.
  • Ensure the store is opened and ready for business by the required time and remains in full operation until approved closing time.
  • Complete all paperwork and cash deposits before store operations begin.
  • Prepare daily reports, inventory updates, bank deposits, and other administrative tasks.
  • Maintain working knowledge and ability to prepare all approved menu items according to established recipes.
  • Provide excellent customer service in a fast, courteous, and friendly manner.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees about orders, training, and employee needs.
  • Satisfy local and state government health requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field
  • 3 or more years of experience in restaurant management
  • Proven track record managing COGS and labor costs
  • Able to work a minimum of 50 hours of scheduled time, including two closing shifts per week (one being a weekend shift)
  • Ability to work flexible hours and days to support business needs
