As a Metro Network Deployment Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our network operates reliably and efficiently, providing seamless connectivity to millions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the installation and quality assurance of networking equipment, ensuring seamless integration with our global network.
  • Test and commission routers, optical transport equipment, and other network devices to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement technical plans for network deployments, providing guidance and leadership to project teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve network installation challenges, including facility power, cooling, security, and cable management.
  • Own and maintain network documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of network configurations and plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Network Deployment, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in DWDM, TCP/IP, or system design operations methodology.
  • Experience with network installation, configuration, infrastructure, operations, optical engineering, and project management.
  • TS NV1 clearance under the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience directing field operation technicians, engineers, or vendors in a telecommunications environment.
  • Collaboration experience across multiple levels and functions.
  • Knowledge of ISP/OSP Network Architecture and Data Center Architecture.
  • Ability to influence tactical and strategic decision-making.
