CAMILLA is seeking a visionary textile designer to join their colourful world for a 12-month maternity leave contract.
They're open to meeting talented designers at mid to senior level – whether you're an experienced creative leader or a rising designer ready to take the next step. What matters most is your ability to dream big, think boldly, and translate those visions into stunning textile prints that inspire their global tribe.
This is your chance to play a key role in their design studio, bringing your artistry – from hand-painted illustrations to digital mastery – to life across ready-to-wear, accessories, and hardware. Placement print and engineered print expertise? Even better.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and interpret print and fashion trends, including colour direction, to develop seasonal concepts and mood boards.
- Create original artworks and illustrations for textile prints across all categories, including placements and hardware.
- Present concepts with confidence, sharing the creative story and vision behind each range.
- Collaborate closely with their cross-functional team to bring textile designs from concept to reality, ensuring they align with seasonal themes and brand handwriting.
- Keep a finger on the pulse of their global customer, adapting designs to meet market and commercial goals.
- Contribute to creative discussions across departments to ensure their collections are as impactful as they are beautiful.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in textile and print design – ideally at mid-weight to senior level.
- Tertiary qualifications in Textile Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop & Illustrator).
- A distinctive and adaptable illustration/painting style that can evolve within their iconic brand DNA.
- Proven ability (or strong potential) to work across engineered prints, placement prints, and multiple product categories.
- A strong creative vision paired with an exceptional eye for detail and colour.
- Confident communicator with experience presenting and collaborating in a team environment.
- Organised, self-motivated, and able to work to tight deadlines without compromising creativity.
- Passion for trend research, concept development, and pushing creative boundaries.
Benefits Include:
- A Culture of Wellness – They're serious about self-care, with regular yoga sessions, guided fitness sessions, and a genuine focus on mental wellbeing woven into their workdays.
- Growth Opportunities – They champion personal and professional development, with tailored opportunities to help you evolve, upskill and shine.
- The CAMILLA Space – Their vibrant Alexandria HQ is a feast for the senses: beautifully designed, full of energy, and always inspiring.
- Fur Babies Welcome – They're a dog-friendly office, so your four-legged companion is always part of the fun.
- Tribe Perks – Enjoy generous staff discounts and exclusive allowances to have you adorned head-to-toe in their clothing.
- A Bold, Beautiful Career – Join a globally expanding brand where creativity, colour and self-expression are celebrated every single day.
