We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Anatomical Pathologist to join our team in Townsville.

As a Staff Specialist Anatomical Pathologist, you will be responsible for delivering expert diagnostic and consultation services, participating in multidisciplinary team forums, and supervising registrars.

  • Develop and implement strategic frameworks for Anatomical Pathology services grounded in global best practices.
  • Provide high-quality diagnostic and consultation services that meet the clinical needs of referrers across Queensland.
  • Supervise and support registrars in their growth and development, ensuring the highest standards of professional development.
  • Engage actively in discipline-specific meetings, departmental discussions, and multidisciplinary team forums to build strong partnerships and ensure alignment with client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert Anatomical Pathology services, including timely and efficient diagnostic and consultation services.
  • Participate in discipline-specific meetings, departmental discussions, and multidisciplinary team forums.
  • Supervise and support registrars in their growth and development.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic frameworks for Anatomical Pathology services.

Requirements:

  • Contemporary knowledge, skills, and ability in Anatomical Pathology.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills necessary for all aspects of the position.
  • Ability to conduct relevant training, teaching, research, investigation, analysis, and management.
  • Knowledge of ISO 15189 and NATA Medical Testing Requirements.
