Are you an accomplished researcher looking to join a cutting-edge team? We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Research Associate / Senior Research Associate to contribute to the development of quantum computing hardware based on the spin of implanted donors.
The research group specialises in integrated silicon nanoelectronic devices, and your role will be to conduct theoretical research on quantum information processing with high-spin nuclei in silicon. You will work closely with Professor Andrea Morello and other esteemed colleagues to advance the field of quantum information processing.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive theoretical research on fault-tolerant quantum operations, quantum error correction, and scalable architectures beyond a single atom.
- Develop original theory and inform future directions for the experimental effort through innovative insights.
- Collaborate effectively within the team to achieve project goals.
- PhD (or soon to be awarded) in quantum physics, quantum engineering, or related area.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing original theory in the field of quantum information processing and quantum error correction.
- Proven ability to apply quantum information theory to practical experimental platforms.
- Strong track record of independent research with limited supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- PhD in Physics, Quantum Engineering, or related area. Previous postdoctoral experience is preferred.
- Established reputation for developing original theory in the field of quantum information processing and quantum error correction.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise teams, including PhD and undergraduate students.
- Superior research management and leadership skills.
