The research project this role will be working on is aimed at the demonstration of quantum information processing with high-spin nuclei in silicon, exploiting the high dimensionality of the Hilbert space to encode robust logical qubits. The focus of the project is on the demonstration of fault-tolerant quantum operations, quantum error correction, and scalability beyond one atom. As a theory-focused Research Associate / Senior Research Associate in the group, you will be responsible for developing new theory for quantum information processing in high-dimensional systems and informing future directions for the experimental effort.
Responsibilities- Conduct theoretical research on quantum information processing with high-spin nuclei in silicon.
- Develop theory for fault-tolerant quantum operations, quantum error correction, and scalable architectures beyond a single atom.
- Inform future directions for the experimental effort through theoretical insights.
- Report to Scientia Professor Andrea Morello and have no direct reports.
