We are seeking a Tax Specialist to join our tax consulting team.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work alongside Directors and other service lines to consult clients on income tax and GST issues including business sales, restructures, capital gains tax concessions and rollovers, tax consolidations and international tax matters.
The ideal candidate will have a background in corporate tax consulting in either a Big 4 or a significant second-tier accounting practice. Candidates with corporate business experience are also considered.
We support flexible work arrangements and welcome applicants on part-time or full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare tax technical research and written advice on income tax and GST matters
- Interpret legislation, case law, and ATO guidance to support client solutions
- Manage client communications and ensure timely delivery of engagements
- Scope, quote, and lead tax consulting assignments
- Supervise and mentor junior team members as needed
- Strong tax technical knowledge and commercial insight
- Experience interpreting legislation, case law, and ATO guidance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive approach to identifying tax issues and delivering solutions
- Professionalism, integrity, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor's Degree
- CA or CPA certification is highly desirable
