Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Launceston Airport. As a key member of our technical operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of critical airport systems.

Your primary focus will be on electrical maintenance and repairs, including airfield lighting, power generation, and terminal facilities. You will work closely with our team to identify and address any technical issues that may impact airport operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance, a Tasmanian A-Grade Electrical Licence, and experience working with high-voltage and low-voltage network switching and maintenance. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are also essential.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and repair of airfield lighting, electrical supply infrastructure, and other critical airport assets
  • Conduct planned and unplanned inspections to ensure safe and effective operation of airport systems
  • Service and maintain HVAC systems, industrial control systems, and other equipment
Requirements:
  • Tasmanian A-Grade Electrical Licence (or equivalent inter-state licence recognised through the National Mutual Recognition Database)
  • Open Cabling Licence
  • High Risk Work Licence with WP endorsement (Boom Type EWP) – desirable
  • Working at Heights training – desirable
  • Industrial White Card – desirable
