Job Title: Mechanical Specialist

Description:

  • This role involves providing technical support to the installation, maintenance and repair of heavy rotating machinery used in power generation applications.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with Craft Labor Supervisors, EHS personnel, and the Operations Department to achieve these goals.
  • FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world's energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.

Responsibilities:

  • Possess knowledge about specific activity tools, and be able to use them safely.
  • Ability to work unsupervised on any part of an equipment maintenance project.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Ability to align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers, and plumb bobs.
  • Experience dismantling machinery or equipment.
  • Should have experience with repair and or rebuild of large industrial equipment.
  • Ability to move machinery and equipment.
  • Assembly and installation of equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma preferred AND 1 year of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment.
  • Experience in industrial outage maintenance desired.

Characteristics:

  • Basic level capabilities and responsibilities, with 0 to 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude and experience utilizing handheld and power tools including mechanical troubleshooting equipment.
  • Experience in a hands-on mechanical position in an industrial environment highly desired.
  • Must have strong mechanical/technical skills.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Must work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • In-depth safety training a major plus.
  • Must have valid Driver's License.
  • English proficiency required.

Work Environment:

This role requires working at heights, confined spaces and in extreme temperatures.
