Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Officer to join our team at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania. As a key member of our Strategy and Business Services team, you will be responsible for developing reporting capabilities and providing analytical information from NRE Tas and supported entities for corporate data sets.
The successful candidate will assist management, operational staff, and external stakeholders in their reporting and presentation of data to support business objectives and inform strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to the delivery of a sustainable Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities- Develop reporting capabilities and provide analytical information from NRE Tas and supported entities for corporate data sets.
- Assist management, operational staff, and external stakeholders in their reporting and presentation of data to support business objectives and inform strategy.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve business objectives and deliver high-quality results.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Microsoft Excel advanced features would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
