Senior Maintenance Specialist Lead

About the Role:

The ideal candidate for this position will provide technical guidance and support to our maintenance team.

  • Develop a work plan that incorporates customer needs and company objectives, with a regular update provided by the fifth of each month.
  • Supervise line technicians in their daily activities.
  • Plan and coordinate daily maintenance tasks for line technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Support
  • Perform routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, and modifications on aircraft equipment subject to FAA/CAA/EASA/CASA regulations.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and testing of electronic assemblies and units, as well as the removal and replacement of electronics while installed in the aircraft.
  • Build strong relationships with customers through effective issue resolution and proactive communication using networked systems.
  • Advocate for customer interests within our organization, ensuring that engineers and management understand customer perspectives and negotiation points.
  • Provide technical support as a liaison between operations and departments.
Training and Documentation
  • Complete administrative duties and data entry tasks on a daily basis.
  • Act as the local trainer for the PAC IFE SYSTEM.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in the relevant industry.
  • Appropriate academic/technical qualifications and experience to satisfy regulatory licensing for assigned country or region, and meet customer requirements (e.g. FAA, CASA, or EASA A, B1, and/or B2 with relevant type ratings).
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and verbal instructions in English, the global aviation standard.
  • Proven ability to lead others.
  • Proficient in MS products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Advanced knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting, typically acquired through commercial aviation, military experience, or technical school education combined with two years of related industry experience.
  • Capacity to work effectively in high-stress, high-pressure environments.
  • Responsible for complex assignments requiring independent action and a high level of initiative to resolve issues.
  • Makes recommendations for new processes.
  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
  • Often acts as a facilitator and team leader.
  • As a skilled specialist, contributes to the development of concepts and techniques.
  • Completes complex tasks creatively and effectively.
