Job Role

Epiroc is expanding its presence and operations at Olympic Dam, creating new opportunities for experienced technicians.

As a leading hand, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day leadership of service operations, working closely with technicians, supervisors, and management to ensure safety, efficiency, and high-quality service delivery across Epiroc's range of underground mining equipment.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to support and guide a skilled team in a dynamic and exciting new facility.

  • Lead and support a team of technicians in day-to-day maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with all OHS policies and procedures
  • Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and service Epiroc underground equipment
  • Support component rebuilds, installations, and fault diagnosis
  • Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement
  • Assist in scheduling, planning, and reporting of maintenance tasks

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a leading hand or senior technician in mining or heavy industry
  • Trade qualification in Heavy Mobile Equipment (or similar)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communicator with a proactive, safety-first mindset
  • Computer literate with basic reporting and system navigation skills
