Dental Prosthetists and Technicians

Role Overview:

Western Sydney Local Health District seeks a skilled Dental Prosthetist to join our team. As a leading medical facility, we are committed to delivering quality care while upholding our core values of collaboration, openness, respect, and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establishing Digital Dentistry Workflows: The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining efficient digital dentistry workflows.
  • Policies and Procedures Development: They will develop and implement policies and procedures for digital practices.
  • Surgical and Radiographic Guides Creation: The candidate will assist in creating guides for surgical and radiographic purposes.
  • Dental Prostheses Production: They will support the production of dental prostheses and appliances.
  • Clinical Research and Services: The candidate will contribute to research and clinical services within the district.
Requirements:
  • Advanced Diploma of Dental Prosthetics or Equivalent: The successful candidate must have completed an Advanced Diploma of Dental Prosthetics or equivalent qualification as deemed by the employer.
  • Minimum 6 Years of Experience: They must have a minimum of 6 years of experience as a qualified Dental Technician with completion of an Advanced Diploma of Dental Prosthetics or equivalent.
  • CAD/CAM Experience: The candidate must have at least 2 years of experience working as a CAD/CAM Dental Technician with specialist implant surgical work.
  • 3D Printing Experience: They must have extensive experience in using 3D printing technologies in the dental industry, including pre-operative planning.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: The successful candidate must possess demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills in conjunction with effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Teamwork and Time Management: They must be able to work effectively within a team and independently, managing their time to meet deadlines and provide high-quality dental laboratory work.
  • Quality Control: The candidate must be able to monitor and maintain quality control of laboratory work.
