Industrial Control Systems Specialist

We are currently seeking a highly skilled industrial control systems specialist to join our team based in Mount Gambier.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Gather project requirements and assist with preparation of proposals
  2. System design, development, testing, training and commissioning for key strategic projects
  3. Identification of new technology and practices appropriate for use at our company

Primary Technology Platforms:

  1. Rockwell PLC/HMI
  2. Wonderware SCADA
  3. Microsoft .Net and SQL Server

About the Role

This is a role where the projects are diverse and varied, with a focus on programming and commissioning of industrial control systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and commissioning robust, stable, expandable and upgradable systems to meet customer needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems, Mechatronics, Software or Electrical Engineering (or similar degrees) preferred. Other qualifications considered with suitable experience. Experience in PLC and SCADA a must with in-depth knowledge of Rockwell and/or Siemens Automation suite of software and hardware. Good understanding of complex electrical schematic and control diagrams. Good understanding of complex fluid power systems (hydraulics and pneumatics). Robotics experience is a plus. Exposure to AS4024 safety system commissioning preferred. Project commissioning experience. Excellent communication and time management skills. Exposure to the Wonderware or Ignition suites of software will be an advantage.
