Senior Psychologist Leader

The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic senior psychologist to lead our psychology team in the Mental Health Division at Northern Health. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of mental illness and current best practice, with a proven track record in leadership and clinical supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the psychology team in the Mental Health Division, driving quality improvement and workforce development.
- Provide clinical supervision to psychologists, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the mental health leadership and executive team to develop and implement mental health strategies.
- Develop and maintain professional standards in psychology, contributing to workforce planning, recruitment, and retention.
- Assess and treat acute and chronic mental illness, with a sound understanding of current evidence-based psychological interventions.
- Current general registration as a psychologist with AHPRA.
- AHPRA area of practice endorsement as a Clinical, Forensic, or Clinical Neuro Psychologist.
- Minimum of 8 years post-registration experience in clinical mental health programs.
- Psychology Board-approved supervisor for Registrar and Higher Degree supervision.
- Experience in continuous improvement activities.
