We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to management in preparing monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and associated financial tasks.

Responsibilities
  1. Stock reconciliation and analysis
  2. Preparation of monthly management accounts
  3. Balance sheet reconciliation and analysis
  4. Raising weekly/monthly invoices and ad hoc billing
  5. Communication with business partners and stakeholders
  6. Preparation of reports for management and business partners
  7. Management of deferred and accrued revenue
  8. Accruals and interdepartmental journals
  9. Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  10. Supporting the audit process
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in a fast-paced financial environment, either in practice or in a relevant FMCG/Retail setting in an assistant accountant role
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Comfortable handling large volumes of data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive mindset with a solution-focused approach
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Takes initiative and ownership of responsibilities
  • Works well as part of a team
  • University/college degree preferable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel (pivot tables, macros, etc.)
  • Experience with D365 is an advantage but not essential
  • Interest in pursuing or currently undertaking an accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
