Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with varying disabilities, promoting their independence and self-advocacy.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks, tailored to each individual's needs.
  • Support individuals in attending medical appointments, accessing community resources, social inclusion, and wellbeing activities, enhancing their overall quality of life.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals, promoting respect and understanding.
  • Monitor and document client progress and care provided, informing holistic care planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, therapists, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care and support.

What We're Looking For:

  • A genuine passion for supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities, combined with previous experience working in the disability sector (not essential).
  • Relevant qualifications in disability support, healthcare, or a related field are desirable.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation, enabling flexible work arrangements.
  • Ability to use and access a smartphone for clocking in/out and shift notes, facilitating efficient communication.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, accommodating varied client needs.
