Perinatal Mental Health Clinician

This role presents an exciting opportunity to work in the field of perinatal mental health.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate clinician to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessment and treatment services to women within the perinatal period.

The Perinatal Mental Health Service offers a consultation liaison model, providing mental health assessment and treatment for women requiring assistance with emotional distress, depression, anxiety, adjustment to parenthood, and pregnancy-related grief and loss.

The service also provides capacity building, education, and secondary consultation and advice about perinatal mental illness to primary health care providers.

The ideal candidate will possess clinical expertise and have previous experience delivering mental health interventions. They will be able to engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, and provide clinical leadership and mentoring support.

About You:

  • Possess a passion for meeting the mental health and wellbeing recovery needs of perinatal women.
  • Have previous clinical experience in delivering mental health interventions.
  • Be able to engage and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be able to work with a multidisciplinary team and provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and support the development of staff.
