Job Summary:

The Landfill Operations Attendant is a key role within our organization. It plays a vital part in ensuring that operations are carried out efficiently and effectively.

  • This position involves operating and maintaining plant and equipment to the required standards, adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Critical responsibilities include accurately recording client information and waste product details.
  • Ongoing maintenance and cleaning activities are also essential to ensure a safe working environment.
  • It is crucial to only accept wastes permitted on site according to the license.
  • Support is provided in the delivery of minor projects.
  • All Council health and safety policies must be adhered to, with personal protective equipment worn as required.

To be successful in this role, it is expected that you will have experience in operating and maintaining various plant and equipment in an efficient manner.

Essential qualifications for this position include a Certificate of Competency in using plant equipment for landfill operations, waste disposal, recycling, and other associated tasks, along with a Backhoe competency and Heavy Rigid (HR) truck licence.

This is a temporary full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday.
