Cyber Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Security and Infrastructure team, you will play a vital role in protecting the integrity and security of our ICT and business systems.

Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the security and integrity of all ICT and business systems. This will involve conducting internal security assessments, audits, and incident response activities. You will also be responsible for monitoring and analysing system alerts, logs, and incidents.

In addition to your technical skills, you will have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. You will be able to work independently and collaboratively within a small team, and have strong communication skills and time management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the security and integrity of all ICT and business systems
  • Conduct internal security assessments, audits, and incident response activities
  • Monitor and analyse system alerts, logs, and incidents
  • Develop and maintain cyber security policies, procedures, and response plans
  • Deliver security awareness training and educational programs
  • Stay informed on emerging cyber threats, tools, and best practices
  • Contribute to cyber security certifications and compliance frameworks
  • Support the ICT team with technical escalations and security issues
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Cyber Security role within a business environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 environments, SaaS applications, and on-premises infrastructure
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or similar are highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of Windows OS (including Server), firewalls, and networking
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving security incidents
  • Knowledge of industry standards, compliance obligations, and best practices
