About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Housing Services to lead our Housing Services Division in the Northern District. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the district's housing service delivery functions to ensure that housing clients receive timely assessment and integrated housing assistance and services.

The Northern District covers Central Coast, Hunter New England, and Northern NSW, and this role can be flexibly based out of our offices in Gosford, Newcastle, Lismore, Ballina, and Tweed Heads.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Service Delivery: You will lead and manage the district's housing assessment and operations, covering temporary and crisis accommodation, tenancy management, public housing, and private rental assistance products.
  2. Manage Relationships: You will manage relationships with other Governmental departments and NGOs to enhance service delivery and support community initiatives.
  3. Drive Reform: You will drive reform to enhance risk management and performance of services that are responsive to the needs of social housing clients, people experiencing homelessness, and other vulnerable people and communities.
  4. Deliver Tenant Engagement: You will deliver tenant engagement in coordination with the Housing Portfolio.
  5. Optimize Service Delivery: You will achieve and optimize service delivery outcomes by managing financial budgets, forecasting local demand of services, and appropriately allocating resources.

  1. Passion for Social Housing: You will have a passion and interest in improving outcomes for clients seeking support and assistance from Homes NSW.
  2. Strong Stakeholder Management: You will have strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills to build relationships with other agencies and community groups to ensure services continue to make a difference.
  3. Creativity and Responsiveness: You will have creativity and responsiveness in service delivery while managing a constrained financial environment and changes in service demand.
