Job Description:We are seeking a skilled nurse to join our outpatient nursing team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, be able to prioritize learning opportunities, and have experience working in an outpatient setting. They will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain and develop clinical skills to provide appropriate patient care.
- Deliver high-standard patient care utilizing appropriate resources cost-effectively.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
- Act as a patient advocate and facilitate individual rights.
- Provide patient education and act as a resource when necessary.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care through the continuum of care.
- Prioritize workload using resources effectively.
- Provide supervision to enrolled nurses, students, and PCAs as required.
- Attend relevant training sessions offered by the organization. Recognize the necessity to continually develop skills and acquire additional knowledge appropriate to the position.
- Achieve mandatory annual hospital competencies and assume responsibility for record maintenance.
- Actively seek opportunities for further professional development.
The successful candidate will hold registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse. They will also have recent clinical experience in an acute care/relevant environment, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
They will have well-developed skills in communication, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiation, with a commitment to personal and professional development. Knowledge of relevant acts, codes, and standards relevant to current practice is essential.
