  • Maintain and develop clinical skills to provide appropriate patient care.
  • Deliver high-standard patient care utilizing appropriate resources cost-effectively.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Act as a patient advocate and facilitate individual rights.
  • Provide patient education and act as a resource when necessary.
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care through the continuum of care.
  • Prioritize workload using resources effectively.
  • Provide supervision to enrolled nurses, students, and PCAs as required.

  • Achieve mandatory annual hospital competencies and assume responsibility for record maintenance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will hold registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse. They will also have recent clinical experience in an acute care/relevant environment, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.

They will have well-developed skills in communication, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiation, with a commitment to personal and professional development. Knowledge of relevant acts, codes, and standards relevant to current practice is essential.
