Job Overview

The Brisbane Office Operations team seeks a highly skilled and experienced Legal Practice Administration Manager to lead the Legal Support and Facilities function in their office.

This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional candidate to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis and play a key role in shaping the future of the office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Legal Support and Facilities functions in Brisbane, leading a team of 30 direct reports, and cultivating a high-performance culture within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Legal Support and Facilities teams in Brisbane;
  • Oversee the performance of Legal Assistants, Administration Assistants, Facilities Coordinators, and Practice Management team members;
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and consistency of service provided to the firm;
  • Manage the allocation of work and utilization of administrative support to best meet the needs of the firm;
  • Actively manage performance and collaborate with HR colleagues to lead cyclical processes;
  • Partner with the recruitment team to drive recruitment efforts for your team;

The successful candidate will also play a key role in the logistics and communication of the office's future relocation.

Requirements
  • Proven experience leading large teams, ideally in an office or practice manager position;
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels;
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and commitment to operational excellence;
  • Well-developed emotional intelligence with experience managing diverse groups of employees;
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills;
  • A professional approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in a relevant field such as front-line leadership, human resources, business, or law.
