Job Summary

We are seeking a Water & Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Rhodes or Leppington office. As a key member of our team, you will report directly to the Director - Water & Wastewater and work closely with a team of over 260 experts nationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage major water & wastewater projects, including project planning and coordination through initial inception to detailed design and construction phases.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff.
  • Take a leading role as a technical advisor for the team.
  • Collaborate with other teams and offices to ensure an integrated design approach.
  • Provide specialist technical input to feasibility studies and conceptual designs.
  • Undertake construction cost estimates for budgeting and funding purposes.
  • Prepare written reports and make technical presentations to clients and other internal/external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the planning and design of various project elements, preparation of reports, hydraulic models, design calculations, technical drawings, construction plans, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, constructors, approval authorities, government agencies, and members of the public to accomplish assigned objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Proven experience in municipal water & wastewater infrastructure planning and project management.
  • Must have experience in water and wastewater network modeling.
  • Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully manage diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Capable of contributing to business development activities, pursuing new clients/projects.
  • Must have a proven track record of leading technical engineering teams and successfully managing water & wastewater projects.
