We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team. This role will play a key part in supporting financial reporting, inventory accounting, and strategic decision-making across a dynamic retail environment.
">Key Responsibilities- Manage inventory accounting processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant standards.
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Monitor inventory balances and resolve discrepancies across systems and locations.
- Provide financial analysis on inventory movements, cost of goods sold (COGS), and stock variances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and timely inventory data.
- Prepare inventory reports and insights for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
- Support inventory controls, including stock takes and cycle counts.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting of inventory-related costs.
- Identify and implement improvements in inventory accounting and reporting processes.
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in financial reporting and compliance.
- Proficiency in using SAP and MS Excel.
- Experience within the retail industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
