About the Role

As a Product Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting orthopaedic surgeons by providing real-time technical guidance during procedures and collaborating closely with surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.

You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive product training and clinical support to hospital staff and surgical teams, ensuring seamless integration of robotic technology into joint replacement surgeries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support to surgeons and theatre staff during Mako-assisted procedures, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of surgical operations.

  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal use of the Mako robotic platform, driving superior patient care and outcomes.

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of orthopaedic surgical techniques, anatomy, and robotic technology to deliver exceptional product training and clinical support.

  • Conduct thorough pre-operative planning and segmentation to assist in surgical case preparation, ensuring precise execution and optimized patient outcomes.

  • Maintain close working relationships with hospital staff and surgical teams to provide ongoing training, clinical support, and technical guidance.

  • Travel across Australia to support multiple hospital sites, facilitating seamless delivery of products and services.

  • Orthopaedic clinical support

  • Biomedical science/engineering

  • Medical device experience

  • Operating theatre nursing/registered nursing experience

  • Physiotherapy or allied health with surgical exposure

  • Human movement or anatomy specialists with clinical experience
