LAN Engineer

Fusion Technology LLC is seeking an experienced LAN Engineer to join our team in Albany, NY. As a key member of our Enterprise System Engineering/Capacity Management for Telecommunications team, you will provide enterprise-level recommendations for LAN to VA senior leadership and serve as a Tier 4 escalation support for network issues.

• Develop architecture recommendations to support the growing needs of the VA.
• Test recommendations for enterprise compatibility in our state-of-the-art network design lab.
• Provide on-call escalation support for network issues that cannot be resolved by the network operations team.
• Write white papers on new technology uses in the VA and their impact on the organization's mission.

• Master's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a related field.
• 10 years of relevant experience in network architecture and management.
• Strong understanding of networking, Cisco CLI, and network management tools.
• Ability to interact with executive-level Veterans Administration staff and work across multiple projects.
• Knowledge of network packets captures, ticketing, and change management.

• Competitive salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year.
