Freight Handler Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Freight Handler to join our logistics team in North Mackay. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling and sorting of freight within our depot.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and internally move all consignments with high accuracy and safety standards.
  • Label and sort consignments to the correct delivery area with precision.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team to ensure timely turnaround of shipments.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as data entry, ramp activities, and dispatch tasks efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Secondary education or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience, with no prior experience required for senior-level positions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and PC applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven expertise in planning and organizing with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
