We are seeking a highly skilled Director to lead our ICS ANZ Market Control Management Operational Risk (OR) Governance team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring control management is embedded in our day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic and OR-specific risk advice to ensure effective identification, quantification, communication, and management of aggregate risks to the business.
- Compile best practices and learnings from historical product launches and change management initiatives, and leverage to support risk identification throughout the Change management process life cycle.
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with cross-functional teams to facilitate collaboration and progress towards maturity and enhancement of the control environment and risk governance.
- Execute reporting and governance of controls, policies, issues management, and measurements/OR metrics to provide senior management insights into controls effectiveness and inform governance work.
- Assess the needs of BU and functional leaders to ensure sufficient understanding of Operational Risk Management (ORM) and controls.
- Coordinate with product development and service delivery teams to embed ORM considerations into the product lifecycle and service operations.
- Facilitate risk awareness and education within product and service teams to enhance their ability to manage risks effectively.
- Proven experience in operational risk management and understands critical operational risk management lifecycle activities.
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact and obtain buy-in from senior BU/tech counterparts.
- Expertise in process governance, with a track record of establishing and overseeing robust decision-making processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards.
- Experience within the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively.
- Demonstrated history and ability to manage large teams, spread over geographies and with varying backgrounds.
