Hydrologist and Hydraulic Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydrologist and Hydraulic Engineer to join our Brisbane-based engineering team. The role may also be located in Perth, Newcastle or Hobart.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale world-class projects both in Australia and internationally. As a Hydrologist and Hydraulic Engineer, you will have the chance to:

  • Undertake hydrological assessments using Australian Rainfall and Runoff 2019 and relevant industry standard software (RORB, WBNM, URBS, XPRAFTs etc.)
  • Conduct 2D hydraulic modeling to support flood risk characterization and surface water management system design using HECRAS or TUFLOW
  • Perform dam breach and runout assessments to industry leading standards
  • Develop engineering solutions for a broad range of projects from concept through to detailed design
  • Prepare and technically review engineering reports, drawings, specifications, bill of quantities and cost estimates
  • Manage projects and client relationships and complete report writing and presentation needs as required
  • Work with junior staff to develop their engineering skills and build strong client relationships

To be successful, you must be registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ), hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and have at least 10 years of relevant experience in engineering consulting.
