About the Role

The Housing Industry Association is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Officer to join their Finance team. As an Accounts Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting from various finance sections, including Accounts Payable and Receivable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Process and prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, cheques, and EFT payments.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform monthly budget analysis and reviews, and provide financial insights to support business decisions.
  • Transaction Processing: Process and reconcile transactions, including receipts, bank statements, and journal entries.
  • Financial Systems: Maintain and update financial systems, including Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or web-based procurement systems.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a finance or accounting team.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Education: Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance, such as a degree or certification.
